NRL 360 call out the Roosters' salary cap!

Finally!!

The media have called the Roosters for the cheats that they are.

The Salary Cap Roosters are reportedly enjoying $2m worth off third party agreements such that their salary cap is artificially inflated over and above what other clubs can afford.

Paul Kent called both Kevin Walters, Geoff Toovey and all other commentators on their bulls**t! He pointed out that that the majority of their roster re-signed, after making their rep debuts, despite the fact that other teams offered more money to sign these blokes.

So why do they stay??  Why do they play for a club that no-one gives a flying f**k about, has no supporters, no members, no crowd and no junior development??

Answer?? FRINGE BENEFITS!

You can call them what you like.  New cars from City Ford courtesy of Nick Politis.  New homes courtesy of real estate agents under Politis' thumb (Frankie, any thoughts??)  "White line fever" enjoyed not so much at Henson Park; moreover, in the cubicles of the Coogee Bay Hotel??

I've rattled this sabre for years but nobody in the mainstream media would pick it up - until now!!

Of course, nothing will happen, but it's at least pleasing that the media have finally acknowledged that they know what we all know - the Roosters are cheats!

  • It's about time Brisbane done it for years before Bennett left storm got caught roosters have blatantly done it & not gave a f##k what anyone thinks
    • Brisbane were almost caught last year but conveniently everyone that was involved had left the club.

  • Bullfrogs are just as big at cheating the salary cap too
  • Had the same reaction when I saw this from Kent Bourbon! They have been hiding in plain sight. It's a disgrace.
  • We seem to have finally sorted our cap out and worked out it all comes down to 3rd party deals and involving the right people to make this happen and now people are calling for this to be capped and made fair ror poorer clubs , just our luck it will prob come in and effect us getting the roster we at building towards.
  • NRL - nothing to see here, move along.

Rugby League fans - how the fuck do the roosters fit a representative club in under their cap?

TPAs or not its an unfair advantage and there has to be a way to limit these deals to even out the playing field. If the NRL are serious about evening out that talent pool then its really the only way to fairly spread the playing talent.

    • I have always had the idea that tpas be capped to a % of the players on the book wage. Whether it be 25 or 50% or any other amount has to be determined based upon research. But basing it off of the players wage would somewhat reduce the current overload of crap.

Whilst the roosters are over by about 20-40% some players are on the books for 100 and are getting 500+ from sponsors
  • Tell us all something new BM.

Whilst Gyngell, Politis, Greenburg and Rusty have ANY influence in this competition, conflicts of influence are just a paranoia experienced by the NRL dumb.

  • Arthurson did it for Manly, Bullfrog for the dogs, since the salary cap come in we've had total chaos & blatant cheating going on. Nothing scares these teams, look at the dogs, caught cheating lost all points, since that happen do you think they have stopped? Every top team will risk it because if you win, the rewards last for years.

I hope Parra have worked this cap out & continue to improve our roster, we of all teams need to take this comp soon. That will stop trolls like Matty Johns, Buzz, Paul Kent giving us shit. Would make all Parra supporters walk with there heads held high. Stop this infighting in our club, maybe reunite our past champions & become a happy family again. But the best would be to have Parra back where they belong, as champion of the National Rugby League!!
