Did anyone catch NRL 360 last night when Ben Ikin, James Hooper and our bestie, Paul Kent, were on discussing the manly salary cap issue?
IN particular, Kent and his strident support of Bozo and him getting quite irate at Hooper for "believing all the NRL tell you".
I found it quite painful watching Kent stick up so passionately for Bozo - his support was along the lines of "Bozo is an immortal, he is a premiership winning captain and coach, he is a world cupping winning player and coach, his standing in the game should not be questioned" then you compare it to his impassioned pleas for greater sanctions when it was our turn in the spotlight for rorting the cap.
How hypocritical of the Kent.
I was impressed with Hoopers view in that he claimed Manly were slapped with a wet lettuce leaf and he couldn't understand how Bozo escaped sanction(as he is not registered) and how Bozo was front and centre in all the contract negotiations over the last five years.....

Yes i did and nothing surprises me. They talk through their pockets. Kent would have been peeved it was not parra.
100% - the thing is I haven't seen him that agitated about an issue as he was last night - at one point his blood pressure went through the roof and I though he was going reach over the table and thump hooper.

He is right about that.
I find it staggering that the clowns involved only got a 12 month suspension (effectively nine months) and are still allowed to work in the game.
Tell Anderson, Seward, Irvine and the like that is fair or comparable. I'm not saying that those 3 didn't deserve life bans for what they orchestrated in way shape or form/
Kelly, Bozo etc should all be rubbed out for life like those three.

Paul Kent anger at Parramatta signing hayne for less than what he perceived to be a notional value is greater than his anger at Manly for breaking the Cap.
He is a laugh.
Mate he gets riled and is an angry little man (like some here); and tbh i supported him over the M Lodge issue a few weeks ago but he has his favs. Hoopers is good imo.
hoops is about as honest a journo as you can get - he doesn't seem to defend the indefensible like some of the other knobs.
but, at the end of the day he is a journo, not a news ltd journo, but a journo nonetheless.
