NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE

We have all heard the saying and all of us would not give it a second thought before giving our answer, however is this statement true?Is it free to support the Eels?Of course membership costs but what if you're not a paying member? What about an emotional cost? And is an emotional cost free or a payment? I'll be interested to hear your views.I promise this blog is only because of a lack of an Eels game. Now Poppa, pay attention, see who wrote this. Lol

  • Supporting the eels will cost you hope, sanity and your hair but I wouldn't support anyone else no matter what. Only have myself to blame I suppose.

    • Lol did you ever think that you may have lost all those anyway and therefore it might not be a cost.
  • As I said DB, it's only due to the lack of an Eels game this weekend, so there's not a lot of footy to talk about + I did put it in trash blogs.

I'm assuming that you realise that this blog is not free either, the cost, your time and sanity.
  • Ye probably but the eels just sped up the process.

    • LOL I invite the club to pay the $50 for me.

    • Worth it to meet Ken Thornett. I'm in. Hope Cronin and O'Reilly turn up in the audience

    • As long as I get the chance to meet you Mack id pay $100
  • These are not necessarily distinctly separate areas. Yes supporting the eels may take a mental toll, which may then in turn cause physical symptoms (eg high blood pressure) which then will impose a monetary cost (eg medication).

This does not take into account the cost of beers!
  • If nothing in Life is for free, does this holds true being a Parramatta fan ?
In fact, supporting Parramatta is, in actually, the anti-free - as there is nothing FREE about supporting Parramatta at all.
Every possible definition for 'free" is actually the polar opposite of being a Parramatta fan

  • I'm glad you feel that way Poppa.

I too feel that way but after a while I have to pay because it all get too much.

Thinking and feeling is free, it's just putting them into practice that costs you.

And yes, if something costs but you get more back than the cost, is it free or a bargain?
