  How does the media even get this info, surely if the TAB leaked this somehow they have to be sued.

  The privacy laws in this country are very robust and clear cut. I'm no expert, but I would imagine a financial account such as a TAB account are governed by the same laws that cover bank accounts, credit cards, loans etc. If a bank was to divulge someone's banking habits/details to the media there would be hell to pay. These days the banks are so stringent in this area they keep electronic records of every employee who accesses any client's bank/personal details.Checking out celebrities' bank balances etc is now very much a thing of the past and there are systems in place to alert the appropriate bank department should anything untoward/unusual occur.

  The TAB should have systems in place than can very easily check any access to Foz's account by any of their employees. If there's nothing unusual they should be taking a close look at the person/people who handled the bets.

  Whatever the case, it really is a f*****g disgrace that that grub Wilson decided to go to print with it. I know for a fact that there are alot of media types who are disgusted with how the whole thing was handled and feel embarrassed for their profession.

  Why would anyone have 75K in a tab account to start with? Thats a serious amount of money to have parked in a tab account

    For the average Joe Citizen it is. But there are plenty of people out there who do, don't be so naïve it's a big world out there and punting is big business for a lot of people.

    I know that its big business for a lot of people but I would like to think that for our marquee player and captain his big business is winning matches. I hope punting is not a distraction for him

  I struggle to believe that someone else was placing the bets on his account.
  
  Having said that someone at the tab is very naughty for releasing the info and their should be some ramifications

  Perhaps it was some third party sponsor attached to his last club that was trying to build up a balance to match the amount he is owed...?

  I heard last US elections Hilliary Clinton's trading account was very healthy even though she did not trade (futures).
  It's a good way to get someone money without leaving a trail.

  Parramatta team-mates of Kieran Foran have told me those big bets that went out of his TAB account were not actually the star halfback’s money.
  
  Foran has plenty of problems off the field - but gambling isn’t one of them. Those close to him say he is a $10 and $20 punter.
  He gave a mate access to his online betting account - the mate put a considerable sum into the kitty and the $75,000 that was lost was the mate’s - not Foran’s.
  
  ...and it has cost the TAB a lot more than the $75,000 it made from the mystery punter.
