Where did everyone's passion go?
There are not enough blogs on this site which:
1. Criticise BA and/or call for his head - the guy has had 1 poor year in 5, piss him off. Completely unacceptable.
2. Remonstrate about the quality of our playing roster - these guys got us to 4th last year on fumes. None of them would make the starting side of any other NRL team.
3. Hammer Hayne - don't you realise he is not as good as he used to be for no other reason than he chooses not to be?
4. Bag Norman - who cares if he is our best half, he doesn't look like he tries/cares as much as Moses, so he needs to go.
5. Criticise our recruitment and retention strategy - Adding Hayne, Trex and Evan's to a team that finished 4th is unforgivable.
6. Draw distinctions between "realists" and "unicorns" - every pessimist is a realist and every optimist is a unicorn, don't forget it.
7. Query the credentials of our front office/ administrators - Burnie Gurr forged his CV. The guy has no business acumen to speak of.
Until we start seeing more of the above, nothing will change. Nothing.
Please, if you care about this club, think outside the square a little and find a way to protest these issues in a different way. If we can't show some persistence, how can we expect any consistency from the players?
Bring on the blogs!

You see, you forgot to mention the signing of years gone such as watmough and foran that led us to where we are. How can we take your blog seriously. You are living in the present day which is not acceptable. Don't forget the past got us here so the only way out is to go backwards.
Let's bring back Fitzy with couple high profile mates and let them buy the eels and run it as private entity.
And where is your respect for Brian Smith. He basically wrote the rule book on how to run a successful club yet didn't rate a mention.
Sorry Johnny B Good but you are NOT the one we need to lead the revolution and start the fan uprising. If you miss such simple things as I pointed out what else have you missed.
You probably don't even know if you pass you score. You are not fit to call yourself either a unicorn or a realist, and shall be labelled a dope for writing such crap.
Fake Midget, I apologise unreservedly for failing to mention those topics - I must have become too fixated on the issues I wanted to trumpet, rather than opening up my mind.
We need more of all this stuff!!
You know, i really feel sorry for the unicorns. It's not their fault they've been blinded by the absolute mediocrity in the previous seasons prior to Arthur, and think 9th or 10th are good results.
Any sporting club in the world would think finishing in the bottom half of the pack is a poor season, but not here. One top 8 appearance out of 5 and it's party time.
Ok Johnny you tell everyone - what's the real reason Parramatta are in this position?
We're not even close to being where we should - and that's top 6 every year...
We have great club backing, massive jnr base, good facilities and training ground, A big city backing, good membership, a central sydney location.
There's absolutely no reason why Parramatta shouldn't be top 8 minimum..
You might be missing my point mate. It's the oversaturation of the same shit, day in day out, that I'm poking fun at - not people's frustrations. I'm frustrated too and not content with mediocraty.
However, sacking everyone and starting again hasn't worked in the past either - so if its mediocraty you are trying avoid, then I'm not convinced that getting rid of the one coach that has shown some real promise in an unprecedentedly tough period is the answer. His longevity as a head coach at the one club, plus the glaring absence of experts and media outlets pouring pressure on him seems to support my point. We need to build on what he has built - not wipe the slate clean. In saying that, I'm at a loss as to why he cannot fix the issue this season and its becoming intolerable.
Exactly JBG. The fact is none of us know why we've only won 19% of our games this year. Here's our regular season win rate since Brian Smith's final full season (2005):
'05: 67% (Smith)
'06: 20% (Smith), 71% (Taylor)
'07: 54% (Hagan)
'08: 46% (Hagan)
'09: 50% (Anderson)
'10: 42% (Anderson)
'11: 25% (Kearney)
'12: 22% (Kearney) 33% (Arthur)
'13: 21% (Stuart)
'14: 50% (Arthur)
'15: 38% (Arthur)
'16: 54% (Arthur)
'17: 67% (Arthur)
'18: 19% (Arthur)
Interesting that Arthur's regular season numbers this year and last are nearly identical to Smith's in '05-'06. Nobody knew why we were so shit in 2006 either after winning so many games the year before. But I'm sure every dope thought that us losing proved them right, no matter how stupid their theories.
