NORMZ 10th time the charm!

"I've been here for four years and I've had my fair share of halves partners, so when Mitch got here (it) was kind of just another process I guess for me," Norman told NRL.com."But knowing that Mitch is here for the long haul that helps a lot, and that was quite exciting actually when he first came, knowing it was long term back then too."It was an encouraging finish to the back end (of 2017), I think Mitch played some of his best football then and that made my job a lot easier."I don't know how many games we had last year but each time we got better and better and now with a full pre-season, we get to understand each other's game more and start to know what each other's going to do."We'll have to wait and see of course; it’s a long year but Mitch and I are both confident players and there's a big belief in this team."Besides having a halves partnership on the up, the Eels will pack serious firepower out wide with Bevan French, Michael Jennings, prodigal son Jarryd Hayne and the injured Clint Gutherson able to cause serious headaches for defensive lines. That potential has Norman predicting more razzle-dazzle from an attack that ranked eighth in 2017 as they made a long overdue return to finals footy.Parramatta Eels coach Brad Arthur.©Scott Davis / NRL Photos"We get to play good attacking football in the way Brad has set the team up," Norman said."That understanding about where (he and Moses) can help each other out is developing more and more and Brad encourages us to play expansive football."Our attack has never been our issue, the focus has probably been more on defence for most of the summer to be honest."Despite reports of tensions brewing between Norman and Arthur during the hot summer months, the star playmaker is adamant their relationship remains healthy, another welcome certainty in Sydney's wild west."That's the best thing about it. Sometimes I disagree with him and sometimes he disagrees with me but that's good, that's healthy and it's a strong relationship."When I first got down here in 2013, Sticky left and I'm very fortunate that Brad stepped in. I'm very lucky because he's a good coach and we've got a good relationship."I didn't know for while that it would be Brad. And when I did get the news, I didn't know too much about him either but I was checking with boys at Manly and Melbourne and all the reports were that he was a good coach and Parra was lucky to get him.

Forget stepping up for QLD origin, step up for your club first you clown, get motivated for the club youve been at for 4 years, you aint good enough to be ball boy for QLD, youre a passenger out there for us let alone being one for QLD.

Get motivated for winning a comp and etching your name in history for our club, weve been waiting long enough, i want to punch you in the head when i hear you claim how your motivated to play for QLD and youre going to step up for that reason, step up for BA, your team mates and supporters.

Get off the pingas, quit thinking youre a rapper and get with it you dopey cunt.

Its make it or break it for you this year Corey.

About time you repay the faith the clubs put into you 8 ball.

Excellent analogy Carlo :) Gosh I miss Keating amongst  this wishy washy mob of half arsed so called polies.

snake you should change your avatar to the great orator’s pic ...Besides won’t you think of all the poor people with pope a phobia haha

    • Sounds like Corey got his donkey punch on with Snakie boy lol.
    • +1

  • BOOM!!

Corey needs to take the season by the scruff of the neck.

Im worried we will see more complacency from him and he will take a back seat to moses when he should be rising to the occasion and become a better half.

Only time will tell but ive seen all this talk from Corey every year, i dont think he's ever going to be the player many hoped him to be.

  • More talk from Corey, time to deliver because you have the talent.

  • Mace it's a big call giving snake the great mans avatar .but that speech was amazing !!

    • Haha yes  tis worthy Carlo...well maybe at least till we disagree on other issues :)

"He was provided all the legal advice before signing the release and understood the stipulations. Just because R360 didn't eventuate doesn't mean he can force his way out of it lol. Spoilt brat defence is not going to work for Lomax or the storm 🤣 "

Hell On Eels replied to Johnny Suede's discussion Lomax legal promise could create salary-cap headache for Storm
"LB, Eli, good stuff gents. We've acted in good-faith. By the book. With clean hands. Lomax appears not to. Still, equity is not unlikely to view an NRL-wide 3-year restraint until 31Oct 28' as overly-punitive and read it down.
We'd still win,…"
