Norman to 7

Many may disagree but its time for Corey Norman to take control of this team and become the leader he has the potential to be. To do so he should be wearing the number 7. One of our glaring deficiencies is leadership on the paddock. When the going gets tough no-one stands up & takes control of the team.

There might not be a lot of difference in the way the 6 & 7 play these days, but generally the 7 is assigned the task of leading the team around the park. In my opinion that should be Norman and not Moses.

Before Moses arrived at the club and before Normans suspension, Norman was our chief playmaker and he had guys like Gutho and Takka playing at 6. This is the time Norman excelled. By memory he was leading the Dally M's and many were tipping him to be the next Queensland half.

Now you might say Normans form doesn't warrant a promotion, but the coaches job is to get the best out of his players. Dropping Norman to reserve grade will not help him or the team, giving him control of the team will. Norman and the team thrived the last time he had this role, it is time for a change and a shuttle change like this could make all the difference.

Be interested to see if anyone agrees.

I tend to agree. Funny to think the number on the back of a jersey makes a difference but it can happen. Michael Morgan in 2017 is a perfect example of that. Ever since Moses turned up, Normie has completely relaxed and put the slippers on. I remember some of Norman’s best performances were when the 2016 Salary cap/Fiasco was at its peak. Norman was winning games on his own and being partnered by Takairangi and Edwards at 6. The problem is our forwards are so lightweight that unless they play super agresssive and out of their skins each week it doesn’t matter who we play in the 6 and 7 jerseys

I got excited I thought it said Norman to 7's.... I dont think it would make much difference if he was HB.... I'd prefer to see Norman to another NRL club!

Moses was our 7 when we had our best half of a season in years. Giving Norman the 7 is not an improvement
