Fair call Norman plays one good game in about five. Absolutely no idea why they are letting Dufty go though. Everything good they do in attack is off him. If Dufty was at the Storm he'd be everywhere as good as papsmearanhausen
Funny you say that. I watched him closely today and I know why. His defence is beyond diabolical. You break through the Dragons line and you're basically over for a try. He belongs in the ESL where he'd light up the comp with a ton of highlights.
Mutt I don't know if you agree, but he seems to shy away from the physicality of the game, particularly in defence. He likes to go for the intercept when the opposition breaks into the backfield, rather than put his body on the line. His complete lack of effort on the second Averillo try & Marshall-King's try was awful. I agree, I think the ESL is just future. Apparently he doesn't take well to criticism from the coach either, if he goes to Canberra he's in for a huge shock playing for Sticky.
That Averillo one was the try that convinced me it's the reason he's not wanted. That was a disgrace. Tackling the ball runner is job No 1 as a Fullback. If he was an Eel this place would have gone nuts over that incident alone. Then he follows that up with his complete misread on his own try line, again not focusing on the guy with the ball. Every Top team has a fullback who can not only be a threat in attack but is excellent in defence. (Yes Papenhuyzen can also defend well). You can't build a premiership side with Dufty and his glaring flaw of not being able to defend. It simply does not cut it.
"I think he should retire from rep as you said Chief he only played a handful off games for us in last 2 years
So the club should say to him it's us or rep Football if he chooses Rep we should go after another half like tom Duffy"
"Leave the team that nurtured you.
Hes been here 9 years he chose us over the warriors first time round and he chose us over everyone else last contract time.
It took a nrl record deal to get him to leave.
Now let's address his suspension yes he did…"

Me thinks SL
Your probably right Pete.
Such a shame because he had a lot of ability, plenty of them have come and gone though.
Wouldn't be surprised if he went over to Super League and carved it up.
Scott
ESL for sure.

Yep, no defence.
Yeah but at the Storm he doesn't have to make 15 cover defensive tackles a game
Mate he'd miss 3 tackles in one game and Bellamy would show him the door.
