Watching Norman tonight was like watching a replay of his last 3 years at parra. He has become so slow and predictable and he really thwarted Saints attack tonight. Saints had so much early pressure and should have put the cows away but the longer you go without scoring the more frustration creeps into attack and confidence in d.
His kicks were terrible tonight and so was his attack. Everything he did was telegraphed. Nth qld backed off on him all night hoping he’d run so they could get him to submit in a tackle as he always does and they get their defence set again.
This blog isn’t meant to be a Norman bashing blog. It’s only round 1, he didn’t have a full off season, it was wet etc etc but I have no doubt he was a big reason for Saints only scoring twice tonight.
Maybe he’d adjusted his game to suit BAs game plan. I thought he was exceptional in his first year at Parra and then gradually went down hill. Last year I think he lead the stats for kicks that resulted in goal line drop outs but I’d love to know how he measured up in kicks leading to tries. It seemed like his whole mindset had become about building up to a try and then nothing was left to focus on actually scoring one.
Lets hope we see plenty of tries from the blue and gold tomorrow. There’s new blood in the team that don’t have the scars that Norman and others did so let’s hope they rip in.

Poor old Mary will end up in AA by seasons end,
Corey plays his best football in the 9s where theres plenty of space and you play instinctively with less need to think. Also one of the main on & off field drivers of the dumb football culture at Parra over the last 5 years.
Was he playing?didn't see him
BA has coached the football out of Norman.
hope he’s not around long enough to do that to Brown and Mahoney.
Dufty’s injection into the game last night was noticeable - alot more speed & energy. It already looks as tho Dragons will be better suited with Dufty at fullback, widdop & hunt in the halfs = Norman’s the odd man out.
Soo glad Mary was dumb enough to take Norman off our hands
