Norman meets with titans

I can’t post the link but Chammas has reported Corey has met with Brennan and conceded he’s unwanted at the eels. Also goes into detail French is in the same boat. Potentially why we are looking at oats ? Big changes coming

  • Yep I heard the same interesting times.. Norman has had plenty of time to produce. Moses should be going as well
    • Don't say that too loud, all the Moses lovers on here will be after you!

    • Please he has had 5 years to show something and other than stringing a few good games together in 2016 before being suspended he has just not showed he is what we require.

Hopefully one of the recommendations to come out of the current investigation will be the implementation of a no d..ckhead policy. Has been a big issue at our club.

    • Don't disagree basically with what you say however there was a window of opportunity to let him go and they did not take it.

I know there is limited opportunity to seek quality NRL players and I also appreciate that we were not the most attractive club in the NRL at the time of his signing but Norman and Edwards are proof that our recruitment can be improved.

Those sort of players have no long term value
  • Seems a little stupid to be moving classy players with no real top quality replacements. If the club needs to move players or retain them, who am I to argue as I don't know what's going on internal. But to release our halves, a few forwards & backs with only 3 names linked to us seems dumb.
    • I dont think the players have left us with much choice, we need change mate, a new direction, too many guys stale at our club.

    • Agreed. Salmon and Dylan Brown are still very young to be thrown into the NRL without a backup. Maybe why Salmon will be getting a go over the next few games to see how he fares. Personally I'd stick with Norman and Moses for 2019 unless a better option became available (I don't think there is at the moment).

Mind you, a lot of this could be the managers trying to get their players some stability - the club has not said much about extending contracts for any player, which is understandable in the circumstances. There will need to be some hard decisions made very soon though.
