Hell just get a warning and $10k fine from club
  • I've heard 20 years .
  • Who knows, but id like to see some discipline around the club, i recon he will get 2-4 weeks but wouldn't be surprised if he got a bit more nor worry if he got more.

You cant have players repeatedly bring the club into disrepute without being punished, then thats the green light for the tail to be wagging the dog.

The smart thing to do would be to give him some time off so that he has a little less bargaining power in his contract negotiations, if he's going out there playing blinders he has a few more chips at the table.

He should get minimum 4 weeks for being a complete imbecile.

    • I couldn't agree with you more, but who disciplines him? Brad Arthur? The board? We also need Norman on board and setting an example as a leader. In this instance id get BA, Beau Scott, Tim Mannah and a future leader like Taka from the younger brigade with Norman in a room and draw a line in the sand and say we are the leadership group, we can't stand for this if we want to win premierships, and get the players to come up with a suitable punishment. I think Norman could be a very good leader at the club in years to come.

I reckon if Cameron Munster did something like this he'd have to answer to Smith, Cronk and bellyache
    • Agreed also the NRL can step in if they deem the penalty to be 2 light. Personally i think he should be fined and have to meet us at top ryde car park with some cash.

He won't get suspended so a suspended suspension another breech in the next 12months will get a 6 week suspension.
Mandatory community service working with people with disabilities to give him so friggen perspective on how lucky he is.

    • When I was a lad we used to smoke marijuana cigarettes before we went out. Then we would end up staying home instead.
  • The hard part of this will be the gap left if he's stood down. Although I am thinking the NRL will be watching very close as to what the club does.  Given that, he is likely to cop a minium $10g fine, & a couple of weeks suspension.

The NRL may also hit him up as bringing the game into disrepute, the guilty plea, & asking for no sentence to be recorded & being knocked back would mean some action other than money would be likely seen as needed,

  • The NRL could impose thror own suspension they will let the clun hand down a penalty but if Greenturd isn't happy with it then the NRL can suspend him longer.

It's happened in the past including with Mitchell Pearce.

The Roosters stripped him of the captaincy, fined him and barred him from going to the UK for the WCC but the NRL wasn't happy with that so they put the 8 week suspension on top of the club penalty
