Good game to start the season cannot wait for Parra v broncs tonight just wanted to see if anyone else saw what I saw as it could have an effect during the year.
Melbourne Storm without Cameron Smith looked rudderless when they got tired, as much as I do not like the guy he organised that squad to the last minute, out on their feet he would be telling every player where to go and what they were doing.
So yes the storm will probably be up top somewhere as they have rep players everywhere but without Smith's brain when they're buggered they might just be a lot more vulnerable at the backend of games!

Hunter hunter Faark lad ! If Parra can keep up with them all season then I'd be happy. Storm destroyed the Tipsters major tip for the flag! Did it w/o Smith, Grant , Vunivalu They are again the benchmark , fast so very fast.
Yes its too soon I know and as I said they will still be up there, I'm talking about the organisatiional skills of Smith when the Storm are tired, thats all, I'm not writing them off at all, just think it might just be a bit easier when they're out on they're feet without him directing them around in the last twenty, and bellyache will have a plan no doubt, but when they're tired and the games faster too there could just be a crack in the storm
The difference will be in the big games, that's where Cam Smith came into his own. But in the regular season, the Storm won't skip a beat.
It's depressing to watch their speed and their attack, compare it to what we will watch tonight everything will be in slow motion. They did it without their number 9 after replacing one of the greatest players ever. We have people on this forum still making excuses for something that happened at the club 5 years ago. And that's the difference between a club like the Storms or a club like ours which is built on failure.
There's no reason to think we are going to be anywhere near as slick as the Storm, and we sure as shit aren't up against a side anywhere near Souths.
Based on our last 10-15 performances I'm not too sure we will have 20 points in us tonight, and that's against a shit oposition.
Al has every right to be less than impressed, imo.
No need to get upset Brissy. You're carrying on about how the Rabbits lost it, should have done this, should have done that, did the wrong thing when they were close enough to win. I'm sure the Storm will be saying the same thing - they led 22 zip and should have gone on with it, choked them out. Do you think Bellamy is sitting there this morning saying "jeez, lucky the Rabbits didn't attack in the last 10, we might have lost" - no, he'd be riping in about how the Storm should never have let them get that close
You look at evey game and say we would have won except this or that didn't happen. You've said before we should have won both semis last year except certain things didn't go our way. Thats bullshit, we lose games because of shit, inept performances. How many strong wins have we had in our last 15 games?
And stop with the "expert" rubbish. There's no need to put people down just because the're not gobbling your c@ck mate. Where did I say we were far inferior to Souths? I said Souths were a superior opposition to the Broncos.
You, mate, are one of those blokes that likes to twist things to suit your arguement and simply ignore or denigrate other things that don't. You remind me of my wife when she's hysterical.
Well, that's alot of bluster.
So, wading thru it, you didn't appreciate me agreeing with Al that things could be alot better. You're very easily offended mate.
By the way, our previous 15 performances are very much something we can attribute expected form to. Our coaching staff hasn't changed and, even though you say we have alot of new players in our top 30, there's not alot of difference to our starting 17, is there.
Anyway, whatever. I'll be sure not to disagree with anything you post in future. This "expert", and "so-called supporter" will keep his mouth shut and let the real experts have thier say.
The quote you took from Al is what he EXPECTS to happen, based on what he has seen previously, and a few other factors. That doesn't mean that he WANTS it to happen, or that he doesn't HOPE that he's wrong.
I'm not EXPECTING anything special tonight, or this season, but I HOPE i'm 100% wrong.
It would be a boring old world if we all thought the same thing and agreed on everything. That's the beauty of it all mate.
some of us are good judges and dont have to wait to make predictions brissy.
Theres no rule saying people have to wait to judge footy.
Nothing wrong with making a call based on prior form, thats totally natural and what die hards do.
Brissy on a serious note, how long before DB is moved or dropped?
