"There are a couple of interesting points regarding Ryley's development as a player. The first is that he played hooker, lock and half in Penrith's lower grades. It's similar to Cam Smith's development as Smith came through as a half before Bellamy…"
"Ryley is just a good bloke, as most if not all the squad are."
"I thought he'd be right up your alley Pops with Smith being an ex age grade Aussie cricketer.
Me I just love the guys effort and workrate I'm taking that over talent everyday of the week. Some players have it and some just don't."

You know the big thing that is being missed with Riley Smith and is not being appreciated is his ability to read the game.He is a couple of plays ahead and anticipating every move both in defense mainly at present, but also in setting up the…

Apparently he cant because he played for Fiji in sevens
Sunshine will beam down on us winning premiership after premiership.
Dean Ritchie on NRL 360 reckons that Hayne would find his old form if he returned to the Eels - I'm kind of inclined to agree with him.
He made some great points and reminded everyone how when Hayne was paraded to the media as the Titans big signature all he wanted to talk about was the Eels. You could tell from day dot that Jarryd wasn't keen on the move.
I think his heart lies with Parra and that's why he isn't having a dig for the Titans at the moment. You just don't lose talent like he seems to have overnight. There's got to be more to it IMO.
I feel he may have been coerced into signing with them by the NRL (you can tell the coach didn't want him, and who runs the Tits again, that's right NRL) - who knows maybe they told him he would be investigated for off the book payments etc.
With everything that was going down re the salary cap at the Eels, Parra was the last place the NRL would allow him to return and they made sure that both the Eels and Jarryd understood. We may never find out the truth but I think there is a lot that we the fans know.
Don't get me wrong, I think the bloke is a big princess, he's very much up himself and difficult to manage but we cant deny he has talent by the truckload. I think if he is willing to take some kind of hit to his pay then we could do with him in the side somewhere - wing or centre would be my feeling.
I read a valid point about the princess today. The author suggested that Hayne is not tanking, but his body is no longer able to respond as it once did.Very true.As you get older you want and think you can perform as you did a decade ago,but your body is like a car with over 300 000 km on it.It may still run,but don't expect too much.A lot of us hope that Hayne will regain some form, but he is a lazy prick who has got by on innate ability, not hard training like Cronk,Slater,Johns and Thurston .It is a bit late for Hayne to develop a work ethic.
