No need to panic

Some supporters seem to panic when we have a loss. To me a loss is as good as a win sometimes in these early stages. We will learn a lot from it and fix the problems coming into the couple of hard games coming up.As for our hooker situation, of all the players we have that can play in the dummy half roll, I don't think anyone of them stand out above another. We have king that I think will come in, if he Is still injured then nelson has done a great job there before. No need to worry. Norman will be back next week and even without home we looked pretty good against the Titans until we started dropping the ball and giving away stupid penaltiesany team that loses their main play maker struggles to win. Cronk out of storm, Thursto out of Cowboys or Pearce out of roosters they all struggle. We will be OK and will make the 8

  • Its not the fact that we lost upsets most of us, its the manner in how we imploded. It was dumb football from our guys
  • Absolutely. We can cop a loss, even a hiding from a top footy side - sometimes things don't click but most fans can spot the rubbish dished up on Friday night for what it was. The team has been thick with the rhetoric over the last couple of years but given the opposition, that was close to our worst loss in recent memory especially considering we were 12 nil up after 20 mins.
    • Plus playing against a team depleted by injuries!

    • They did a lot of things but mostly they played with heart and desire. They were great.
  • Not saying they rorted the HIA, but it certainly helped them being low on numbers.

I think they only had 4 interchanges by halfway thru second half.
  • What panic ah ohhh ahhhhh

  • Only those calling for mass positional changes or players to be dropped are panicking.
Most on here we're merely shocked and surprised.
Shocked at the manner in which we lost. It was classic, wooden spoon Eels method of losing matches. Dumb mistakes, rudderless, heads dropped, no leadership, mentally weak. Most here, myself included thought we'd well and truly moved on from that stuff years ago. So to see that after what we'd witnessed in the first two weeks was a big shock.
Also who we lost to. A Titans side that was totally decimated by injury and were even losing players during the match. We still somehow managed to lose to that. It shows how bad we were.
So not panic but definitely shock!!
  • How many times has Scott got a loose arm in the tackle, exposed it knocking the ball free only to be penalised? The same thing happens to him, no penalty?
The refereeing is a farce. We only need to look at the home team always winning the penalty count to see that. The NRL needed a good news story from the GC after the recent off field dramas up there. They need a successful Titans just like a successful Warriors. They got that Friday night.
  • Got it covered - here's Poppa at the Nursing Home
