Man, that was our worst performance in a good 12 months. No intensity, no continuity, players arguing with each other. Clearly Normy is the dude that holds a lot of these things together but I think its a problem thats across the NRL not just at Parra.
Melb, and to a lesser extent NQ and Bris are the only team that turn up with close to their A game every week. It's ridiculous how you can almost guarantee a team that gets pumped will bounce back the next week, or a 0-2 team will put in their best performance week 3. We will be much better next week.
I think this game stops the hype train a little and players realise bringing an off game won't cut it.
Having said that I'd like to see more from Josh Hoffman. He's been pretty ordinary first few games and his combination with Taka in both attack and defence has been shithouse. We could do with a little more punch off the bench but that will come with Vave and Kenny. Overall, nothing to worry about. We're closer to every week consistency but still got work to do.

Agree, we will turn this around quickly imo, but if theres no Corey there is reason to panic.
After just rounds 3 and to turn in an effort like that there is reason to panic, our defence down Taka's side was atrocious all night. After HT you would of thought they would do something about it. BA was badly out coached tonight, Guth has shown he is fine as the back up half but not yet capable to take a game by the scruff of the neck.
It means somebody on the right side - Gutherson or Moeroa - wasn't calling the middle forwards across to cover the numbers.
Put Hoffman to centre and George Jennings wing and you will see Hoffman at his best. It's hard to defend when Taka keeps rushing up and in. He needs to be sent back to Wentys. Taka has been in top grade for 3yrs and still making same mistakes. This is where the coach needs to make the tough calls.
I know I will cop some flak but I don't rate BA as a head coach, rate him as the best assistant coach in the nrl. In fact I wish Parra would chase Ivan Clearly.
It's not a mistake from Takairangi, it's how he is coached to defend against numbers. His lateral movement isn't good enough to slide. As for Hoffman, he isn't a good defender either. The only good defensive centres in the club are Michael Jennings, Auva'a and Gutherson.
