Shaun Lane has agreed to terms for a three year deal with the Parramatta Eels which will see him play in the Blue and Gold until the end of the 2023 season.
The towering second rower joined the Eels in 2019 and finished the season with the Jack Gibson NRL Coaches Award for best forward at the Ken Thornett Medal presentation.
Eels CEO Jim Sarantinos said today’s signing was a welcome boost to the Club heading into Round 1.
“Shaun has been great for the Club since joining us in 2019 and we are really pleased that he has decided to commit to the Club for the long term”, said Jim.

Great news.
Upper management has done a great job in the last 12 months.
Kudos to all.
Our premiership window has opened. Hopefully we support it on field. BA has no excuses.
Lol great heading WE, nicely constructed
I really enjoyed watching Lane play last year, the way he attacked the opposition's centres (utilising his size difference). Also, he has bloody fast hands for a big guy. Good news alround
Yeah but not for an avacado
Anyone know the $$$ involved,
1.3 million across 3yrs. A bit over 400k a year.
$1.3 mil being reported, that's a pretty good deal, just over $400k per season.
Good work by all involved.
One down, Mahoney next and need NBrown to make a call on his option for next year or an extension for him
Deal for Mahoney is progressing well. Eels would like to get it done before the season opener next Thursday so 9 days time. But we'll see how that one goes.
N Brown has till June 30 to take up his option, but he will definitely take it up imo. No concerns about him at all.
