NO GOWER OR ORFORD! THIS IS LAZINESS!

Gower and Orford are shit players now and cannot come back and lead a team to a premiership.
They won a premiership in  the past and this does not in the slightest mean they can do it again.
This desperate scatter for a old fart hip replacement half back is a terrible and lazy idea from Parramatta.
Dont give me bullshit about putting an experienced halve there because it will help develop Guys like Morts and Humble And Murray etc etc.
WE have had Andrew Johns doing that for a year and a half and we now have peter sterling coaching our halves.
THe simple fact is we had a shit year. IT HAPPENS! The same shit halves this year made a GF last year. SOMETIMES SHIT JUST HAPPENS.

Yes they rode off Jarryd Hayne Firing but they were still performing alot better than this year simply because we were confident. And were not rotating inconsistent players like kk in and out of positions in the team.

Enough with the quick fix crap. We could of Got cooper cronk and we didnt, PLAN B is develop Brad Murray.
KEEP DEVELOPING MORTIMER As a NUMBER 9!
AND DEVELOP HAYNE INTO THE BEST no.6 In the Game.
Murray has great composure in his Kicking game and deadly accurate. Needs to be Paired up with a partner in the halves and left there and worked on to be developed. His kicking game with haynes passing and running game would be perfect when on song.

If there is any truth to these absolute disgusting Gower rumours and atrocious Orford rumours then we are headed for a disappointing 2011 and beyond.

No MOre quick fix bullshit parra. Put in the Effort and Develop these talents that can give us a future.
Dnt Dwell on the past.

  • Gower ok but if we sign ox you will eat your words.

    Just my opinion
  • The problem with relying solely on the developing and younger players, is that not only will they be built up by the media, but the minute they make a poor decision, or the minute something bad happens in the game that changes the end outcome, then that young player takes the fall, and the media latches on to it, thus reducing the players confidence more.

These players need to be eased in, or at least given the chance in the trial games to see if they can really make a name for themselves.
Whilst I agree that it wouldn't be too bad to see Murray/Humble in the halves, having an experienced half in Orford at the club, will be a great learning curve for both of those guys.
  • Orford gonna get us a prem??
Dnt think I'll be breaking out the knife and fork

Would happily eat my words if it meant a title but orford wnt deliver anything but hip replacement bills.
  • Murray 7 Hayne 6 Morts / Mitchell to fight out the 9 and if Morts steps up he might have another crack at 7 but Murray for now Burt back to 1 and Humble to push for the 1 with Burt switching back to wing if that happens. Humble has a lot of speed to burn which will help.

Murray and Hayne would be a great combo - would take time to develop but so what thats what an offseason and a season is all about. Their games would compliment each otehr VERY well.
  • Orford is not crap and is the best on the market (considering that CC & QC are not actually on the market).

Bradford fans are sh!tting themselves about losing him.

More the merrier says Lynch as Bradford Bulls add depth to squad
Andy Lynch insists the Bulls’ lack of a big-name recruit should not provide cause for concern.
  • Mate are u serious?? If I'm not mistaken orford won a comp in 08? So saying he can't guide us to a premiership 2 years on is absurd!! We have been having this same arguement since 1986,"blood a young half they will come good".. We've been doing it for over 2 decades and for some reason it hasn't worked for us..Joey coached our halves yes but he also coached the dogs, manly, knights, and up until last week the raiders halves and look where they are now(on holidays).. Bottom line I would rather an ageing orford to guide us around then a raw Murray who is an unknown.. You just never know maybe orford might teach him a trick or 2!!
    • Man I'm with ya on paying for a top class half instead of blooding rookies and being let down.
But not for old man orford.
If it was cronk or thurston who we looked at, at some point this year then yeh trow the bank at them
      But orford is finished common.
He can show a trick or two but he wnt giv us a title.
Although if parra are gonna get gower or orford I'll take the old ox.
      • Mate I rated orford when he was at Mel and manly, I don't think manly would have won the comp or even gone close without him in 08.yeah I agree jt or cronk would be ideal for us(who wouldn't) but it ain't gonna happen in the near future.. We have to start looking towards next year and how we can win it next year. And orford is our best chance(in my opinion). I agree 100% with ya on ox or gower.. I just don't think blooding Murray with alll the pressure of 1st grade rugby league will work.. Look at what happened to morts!!!! Maybe someone like the ox may blood Murray into a future star in the years to come!!
        • Well I'm not confident but I hope your right coz it's looking more and more likely we will sign orford. Apparently he want parra and we are bout to agree terms with Bradford
          "sigh"

I just dnt think he will do it. He's past his best. Just coz he did it in the past doesn't mean it's gonna happen for him again.I dnt c how signing our plan E halfback
Is a positive. We had just picked up what was left on the desperation pecking order.
          • Well time will tell mate, let's both hope your wrong and we get that elusive premiership.. Then we can sit at parra leagues after the gf and talk about it over a couple of schooners lol!!!
