"We got flogged last year in the very same game by 50 points. What did we learn? What did we change? Nothing! Got flogged again by 50. Ryles has a long lomg eay to go. If you dont learn from your mistakes you never improve. Negative 50 is like 3…"

"What makes a utility a utility? Is it being on the bench or actually being a versatile athlete? Joash is a fullback, that's it, he is 18th man but that doesn't mean he is 'cover' that's a mistake I expect Ryles to learn from, expect Samrani and or…"

Never enough team list blogs although it would be good if they were wrapped up into a single blog ala the Silvertails site.
Agree with Chief, Moeroa is one of our better forwards
Dave Gower?
Great well thought out blog mate, but one thing I disagree with is having Tepai play reserve grade while Terepo is on the bench. I get that Tepai is generally a second rower, and Terepo is a prop, and we need a good prop rotation happening, which is why I believe either Pauli Pauli or Tepai will make a move to prop.
Terepo is great depth, but hardly a player you'd want to rely on coming off the bench. He makes too many mistakes with loose carries, runs straight and hard (which at times is great, but a step at the line or something would do wonders to his game) and doesn't provide that extra bit of grunt that we need from a bench forward.
I think this is where Tepai is struggling this year. Last year we saw the best of him when he would come from the bench when the opposition forwards were tired and he'd hit the hole and run through them. This year we've seen him start pretty much every game he's played and he hasn't quite had the impact he had last year, I'm sure this is contributed to by his bung shoulder, but IMO its cause of he's starting against fresh players who are aiming up against him.
Imagine a fresh Tepai and Pauli coming in against tired forwards, similar to what Klemmer provides for the Dogs.. They're going to be ranked along with the best impact players in the comp.
I agree with Parra fan what about Gower ILL drop Terepo for Gower now that's a great side
