The eels are flying high after the win of the season, but don't count your lucky stars just yet because next weeks game will be much tougher. Manly lost their way and got mentally defeated. They didn't have to worry about losing as they are already top 4. The knights are in form and beating quality sides, they are at home, they have the crowd and they will get the refs calls guaranteed. The eels must use last nights win and the atmosphere and take it with them . The eels cannot let teams get in front again . We must start well , the knights don't have the strike power to come from behind like we did so getting in front is a priority next week. The eels will need to stun the proud Newcastle crowd and give them nothing . We eels must send a clear message next week that we are coming into the semis and we are the real deal . The knights can score 30points fast , our defence is the key . Our forwards must make meters without the ball. Yes 2 players are gone for them but look at what the raiders did in Darwin ? Half a side nearly beat us . The knights will fight tooth and nail to win at home. They are our bogey side.A good thing is that the dogs play panthers and panthers also play the storm . So a win vs Newcastle is almost certain to put us into the semis. Lets get as many fans there. Last night was a nite to remember for years, like the 2009 final vs dogs.
The count down has begun ,5-4-3-2-1 GLORY !!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets not get bigheaded here, we can't afford to lose

No game is ever a given but the Knights have lost 2 of their best forwards for the clash and that's gotta hurt.
Also after last nite you'd have to be upbeat of our chances.
Nothing is guaranteed but death and taxes. But I am banking on Newcastle leaving nothing in the locker on a wet track against the Broncs. As a result they could be flat next week. They will really want to beat the Broncs and not us so much.
I said in the game day blog that I thought Manly might be a bit flat and tired after the Titans game with it having been a tough Sunday Arvo game in the sun and a short turnaround.(Mind you I tip Manly). To me as the game went on and possession evened up this seemed to happen.
Im not taking away from our performance as I think it was once of our best in years and years. In saying that Newcastle up there are tough as hell and before tonights game I think they have won 6 of their last 8.
However with Jeremy Smith and Snowden both out if our forwards aim up like last night we should win
I think the maturity the boys showed last night in the 2nd half is a turning point for the team and their season.
We can now win consecutive games, defend under pressure and not let bad calls get under our skin.
