    • No idea, but maybe IDG is going to retire at years end? Otherwise it's a bit odd as we just re-signed Pritchard too. Maybe they just want to make sure we don't have to play Nelson/Kelly or anyone else at hooker like the past 2 years when we have had 3 hookers injured lol

    • I'd say we aren't re-signing De Gois. Kaysa is too injury prone and rarely plays a full game anyway.

Aside from these i'm waiting for Robinson to be re-signed (if only for another year) Tanginoa could be coming home which could be a good thing and half hoping to sign Lafai (possibly Copley but unlikey) to replace Hoppa.

Otherswise i'm hoping Lavaka gets a crack at first grade if Robinson isn't re-signed.

Cameron King is also a goal kicker isn't he?

  • @ those who are in the know on this site - are these both 2nd tier "opportunity" contracts?

  • Another dummy half???? we have 4 at the club, and still the worst back depth in the NRL.  FMD!!

    • 1. You can never have enough hookers.
      2. Moss adds to the backs depth.
      3. No wow noooo.
  • Happy with these signings. Like the Hasson and Kelly signings they'll be 2nd tier so as long as they don't play first grade it won't matter. Good 1 year deals, doesn't harm the club at all signing these sort of players especially King. We were down to our 4th pick dummy half at one stage this year so if we are to be that unfortunate again then at least we'll still be good.

Both of these signings may have a chance for a 2nd year at the club too. With De Gois coming off-contract next year we'll need a back-up for Peats and it's always good to have NRL experience as a back-up. We also don't have a 19 or 20 year old dummy half currently in the NYC so this is alright. Moss on the other hand may get first crack over French if something were to happen to Gordon but you'd have to think in the long run we'd be putting French in.

P.S We also now have 2 Cameron Kings at the club

    • He'll probably get blooded at some time next year. We've really been careful with this bloke's transition. Last year he was playing RM Cup for Guildford, not NYC. This year we had a look at him in a couple of NSW Cup games to see if he could handle the tougher impact. He didn't let them down. Next year, a few games of NRL.
  • Dont know much about Moss

Cameron King was a contender for rookie of year in 2012. Bennett wanted to poach him at the knights but he ended up re signing at st George. Id say this is the end of De gois.

This seems like good business for Wenty, lets hope we do some solid business for Parra soon (sign a bloody back!!)

    • I hope next year goes well, but wasn't Sandow once rookie of the year?..........

    •  A Rolling Stone gathers none!
