I'd have DWZ at fullback and Parry in at Centre. Fergo then goes back out to the wing.
I don't think D Brown will be back this year.
ok drop French but he has an X factor, honestly rather French somewhere than Taka as a fwd
French will be in a diffrent jersey by then
I cant see French coming back into the team anytime soon, after his tantrum, firstly at not getting a crack at fullback and then when dropped from the side. Then again after not being picked as Salmons replacement. Shades of Chris Sandow me thinks. Hopefully he matures up quick, because his form for wenty lately has improved heaps.
I think thats why no other clubs have shown a lot of interest in him, due to his work ethic when things arnt going right for him.
I hope he improves on that as he matures and shows his best for the Eels and not some other club, because he has raw talent to burn.
Go Parra
Very True but short memories reign.
Hey Poppa, yeah probably very true. I think the way he responded on and off the field after being tapped on the shoulder and or dropped re his performances has hampered him, with the coaching staff, He needs to be taught how to use his small frame in first grade, many others his size have. In his defence I have seen some real improvement on that front for Wenty. When near the sideline he has changed his momentum and stepped back inside so when the defence tackle him his weight and momentum is moving away from the side line, where as last year he would try to outpace them on the outside and get dragged into touch. Also when near his line he is dropping quickly when needed and or getting down low when confronted with defence going to ground and stopping the opposition from rag dolling him.
Totally agree about our forwards. A lot of our backs and halves would look better with a more dominate pack
Stefano, I don't think has been picked in run on side this year, I suspect easing him back after injuries. I would hope he along with Parry and Fainga are also upping the anti for post June selections in the top grade.
As for Bev, given the performances of some of our backs, I cannot see how he would be any worse really. Said elswhere that he would be a better option at 6 than Smith, only thing with Smith he could give Mahoney a spell but who goes to 6?
surely we have to give some more young blokes a go when there are injuries and loss of form etc. when BA chucked some promising youngsters in at the start of this year we really looked good despite many of us thinking Mahoney, Brown, Kafusi etc. might not be ready. Now we seem to be going back to seasoned fringe first graders coming in. Come on BA enough of the safety first selections. Blood the youth.
