Hi fellow site members. I have been looking at this site for many years now. Thanks god for 1 eyed eel as I live in Perth now so I don't get much Parra info over here, except for the crap I read in the dribble called newspapers over there. Most of it is just Parra bashing.
Anyway after all this TPA crap that's going on and I am sorry if it has been brought up before but I was reading the SKD trail a month or so ago and I cant get it out of my head. Anyway I found the article...see below.
Ms Peris said her boyfriend later apologised for "flipping" and gave her a $700 gift card, a club prize given to him by the Roosters, "because he felt bad".

Question: Why hasn't more been made of this? If gift cards "given" to players as "Prizes" is ok then what isn't ok? How many "prizes" are the roosters players given. Are prizes part of the salary cap now. NRL.....well you are a joke.

Welcome to the site Joe, its a murky world mate, who knows what sponsor the roosters got those cards off.
No doubt everybody is rorting it, have you noticed how quiet all the other clubs have been on this, nobody is laying the boot in because they are afraid a story might be just round the corner from them.
I agree, TPA'S should be scrapped once and for all. give every club a 10 million dollar salary cap and they can decide how much of that is spent on so called marquee players. that would get rid of the unknown and the skulduggery that goes on at all clubs. Lets face it, every club does it.
And the NRL are vying for an even competition - BS.
Hi Joe, I was involved with a dealership many years ago. This dealership would loan a luxury car to a high profile player and exchange the car every 3 months.
This dealership was affiliated with another club, in return another dealership affiliated with his club would loan a car to a high profile player affiliated with this dealership.
This still goes on, clubs help each other to Rort TPA rules.
What Snake posted is true, the silence from other clubs is deafening.
Welcome to the site!
I dont know if they need to be scrapped by the rules regarding them need to be more Black & White.
Then again consistency in the judiciary has been needed for a long time and nothing seems to have change there.
The NRL just make decisions based on how they feel on any given day.
