Obviously we need to improve our D, in particular our right edge, but our attack is starting to become boring again. 5 plays up, and kick the ball. Very predictable. Mitch needs to run. Run Mitch run. Too much sideways running and handing the ball to teammates for mine. A bit to fix, but is the current coaching staff good enough to fix it? I somehow doubt it, but we will see.
I am not too concerned with our attack. I think it's an easy fix.
No more out out. Use our offloads. Play like the end of the south's game.
Mitch run -- lethal runner of the ball. Ran once against South's and causes a line break. Never so it again
Play more direct not sideways.
Use our kicking game to score. We have scored many tries of kicks this year cause we have good targets. People say that they only scored of kicks, but against the best teams tries are noramlly scored of them. So use them well.
Mitch and Dylan need to touch the ball more regularly inside 20m. Just wacth Cleary and Luai.
What I don't understand is why BA is not going back to what was working before, with Niukore in centres next to Fergo! It was brilliant and defensively sound and he was helping fergo in attack. It's simple and doesn't need much thought behind it.. Brown,Niukore and Fergo on the right, put opacic back on the left next to sivo and have Waqa on the bench or have Fergo on the bench and Waqa on the right wing
It was brilliant because we were playing teams that couldn't exploit our problems.
It's not an individual issue. If Marata was centre last week we probably cop an even bigger mauling .
We have Newcastle this week who can't exploit it either . Our centres (whoever they are ) will look fine this week . They don't have the ball playing ability at fullback without Ponga or the threat in their formation they have with Pearce and Ponga. They more have hard running centres who we will be fine against . It won't mean the problems are fixed. We need to overhaul the defense now so we can be in a better position next time we play a team that can exploit us .
"yeah thanks guys, I was surprised, i just don't see him ball playing like a walker, Hopgood, DeBellin, etc. That surprised me. Mind you none are as good as Walker at it, from lock."
"I agree but from my understanding he has only trained at fullback for the past 2 years so not sure if the club are considering to explore his utlity value."

Agreed. With D Brown back, we will be much more solid on the edge as well.
A repeat of last years issues again..
