Need a 5/8

Obviously not much we can do without Brown there but Salmon isn't a legitimate option. The left side struggled last week and looked completely lost tonight.

I've watche Salmon closely since last year and whilst he has a go his passing is slow hes better suited as a centre or interchange player. I'm not sure what the best option is maybe Gutho to 6 til Brown gets back although that would be weakening one postion to strengthen another.

At this point Paulo offers more ball playing then young salmon

  • Definitely agree! Perhaps getting rid of Norman might come back and bite the Eels! Who else is available besides Salmon?

  • Can't move Gutho but Salmon is not a 5/8, we need to find anothet option, maybe French?. I don't expect BA to make any changers though and that is probably understandable at this early stage.

  • They won’t move Salmon until Brown gets back. Too much at stake. Salmon is definitely a centre and should take Takas spot next year.

We just have to grin and bear it. I personally don’t think Salmon is our biggest problem - we just need Salmon to keep it nice and simple.

    • Next year, we need to sign decent Centre, backup 5/8 and 2 props

  • Oh oh what about Bevan French?

  • I think Salmon has listened to the coaches saying Moses is the dominant half and we just want you to move the ball on to your support play and he has taken it literally to the extreme. He looks like he is worried if he takes the line on or tries something apart from just passing then he is going to upset the game plan. Saying that I am impressed with his defense and tackling technique  i agree he will make a good solid defender or possibly the right person to play 14 for us

  • Will Smith?

    • Injured

  • I think half his problem is the lack of opportunities. Moses dominated the possession and, consequently, all our attack went down the right hand channel. We need more attacking ball going left. Jennings and Sivo are both quick, elusive and nuggety. NO need to continually go right to Taka

  • Yep your spot on, i also think Dylan Brown is still a long way from being a match winner, i think the wraps on him a little of the mark.Just MY opinion

Not many teams will win games this year scoring 19 points, . And realy our spine failed to fire in attack, yes gutho ran plus 100 mtrs, but he excited nothin else, thats why i agree if Gutho wants more than 500k, let him go, yes he is a good player but his not a match winner far from it.

Same with MM he plays good and has improved but is no match for the good teams, he still cannot sustain pressure and come up with the miricial kick or pass. His just not a match winner,

Today we looked lost in attack and none of our spine stood up and tried to take control.
