It appears many have decided we are no hope tonight with the loss of Jennings. Of course what matters is that the team does not have a bar of that.
The circumstances are now such that BA needs to become creative, more so then at any time this year arguably. He has no choice, necessity has forced his hand.
There is likely now to be an injection of youth, speed, and a lack of baggage that comes with the mainstays. I think this is crucial, and whilst MJ is a massive loss, we now have something very different running out. Young men looking to shore up their futures, older guys with points to prove
Expect an almighty game tonight, we are not shot by any stretch, we are an almighty chance

Drop Wil Smith and add Kaufusi, we need fresh forward legs. Canberra showed this last night.
We've plenty of tricky stuff in Moses, Brown, Guth and Taka BUT not if their defending all night cause of tired forwards.
Yup all or nothing for the whole team, time for them to think and play like Cyborg
Onya Benny - I got the same feeling - major upset on the cards and we still have an Eels v Raiders GF.
When you got nothing left to lose you can achieve almost anything.
Eels really have no reason to win this game. South will be embarrased to loose with eels missing 3/5 of their backline and Blake who is the worst out of all them is still playing. This drama will also effect eels. We really have nothing to loose and should try anything.
Onya Benny! I like your positiveness.
Great blog, Benny. Love your half-full & never say die attitude. Let's hope The Team has it.
ATM, I'm very bearish about our chances tonight. If Souths get off to a flyer racking up decent possession in the first quarter/half, the game's as good as over. The fatigue factor and inexperience on our edges, lack of playing time together there, will kill us. It could even get ugly. Very, very ugly.
We need to get off to a flyer and keep the foot on the gas. All hands on deck for this one. If we manage an upset it will be one of the sweetest wins in recent memory.
The Eels have no choice but to throw caution to the wind and just have a red hot crack at the Bunnies.
It is going to be a mamoth ask but nothing is better than just pure want, desire and everyone writing you off.
Give some young guys a go and see if the Eels can just straight out enthuse the Rabbits off the park.
In situations like this I think youth and the future is the best policy. Even it we loose it will be the best thing for the young guys to get a crack at a real life first grade final. We will get a good gauge and see if they're quitters, if we are getting pumped, or fighters who never give up.
The Eels are likely going to get thumped so lets see what our next gen are made of. We got them to the finals now lets see what they can do with an opportunity like this?
I think the Eels get smashed tonight but I am still going for them and just hope they go out their and give it a red hot crack. I will be more than happy if they can do that.
Hi, I have been an Eels supporter for more than 60 years and I am not going to give up now. I wear my eels gear during good times and bad times. These are times when all us eels supporters need to support our team to the hilt. I love the eels and encourage all eels supporters to rise up and show what we are made of. My mother was an eels fan until the day she died and so will I be an eels fan. Go you eels.
Nice blog Benny well said mate.
