NBA Finals

No sports fans, it’s not Groundhog Day, the Golden State Warriors & the Cleveland Cavaliers will square off in the NBA Finals for the 4th year running, with Game 1 tip off & 11am EST today.

The defending champion Warriors, after surviving a 7 game scare against the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals will be endeavouring to win their 3rd title in 4 years, whilst the Cavs, led by the indefatigable LeBron James will be trying to turn the tables on the Warriors, in the process bringing the King one ring closer to the ghost he is chasing.

Both teams are impacted by injuries to key players with the Cavs missing Kevin Love whilst the Warriors will be without Hamptons Five member Andre Iguodala.

  • I thought Boston were going to beat Cleveland
    • Yeah, so did I. Our inexperience told in game 7.

      • I was very disappointed that they couldn't get the win. Not because I am a Boston fan, but just for some variety in the finals.

  • Cleveland 4-3
  • K.Love passed concussion test and is playing today.

    • Did he, hadn’t heard that. Actually, I think the Warriors won’t be too worried, they’ll attack him in the pick and roll all night.

    • Warriors 4-0
      • Good call.

I thought Cleveland would win one at home.

  • Typo Brett... scare against the Rockets, not Warriors.

Dubs in 5 I say - don't think they will repeat the same effort in game 7 of the western series. Klay was in foul trouble earlier than I've ever seen so he was off too soon which disrupted things + KD was really off in defence for some reason.

The best 3rd 1/4 team in basketball cranked up in the 3rd as usual though + the Rockets just kept only shooting outside and missing. Kerr would have given them a massive rev up after that - even with the win he was pretty angry.

Can never put a line through a team with LeBron but I don't think the Cav's are in the same class. Go Dubs!

    • Agreed, the Warriors have kind of been off kilter all season, probably just bored, but this is the worst Cavs team since LeBron came back. They desperately need Korver, J.R & Love to hit their shots, and they need Tristan Thompson to hit the offensive boards like a maniac.
