nathan gardner a exciting prospect.

Whats with all the players that left the eels that we all said would never get a start in first grade for years to come. already albert kelly and gardner have already played first grade and ive been impressed so far by gardner playing fullback for the sharks.

  • yer true
  • When i saw him i tv today i wondered if he was a Parra boy.
  • Impressed so far ? he's only played the one game.

The sharks have built a team out of blokes who wouldn't make first grade at parramatta (sorry SBBB). I can't say theres too many players that i wish the club had of held on to... Zeb Taia is one of them, and of course Mateo and Inu will be when they go.
    • andrew ryan, jamie lyon and so on
  • Jamie the wanka left, we tried to keep him then tried to buy him again.
    • Nathan Gardner will turn into a top player as long as he is left a fullback and not get switched around all the time
      • Any one sick of seeing local juniors leaving believe me Gardner was on our best in the juniors
        • Parra choose to keep some and choose to let some go. They seem to have an addiction to buy recruits from other clubs when the better option would have been to keep the juniors bought through at the club. I cant remember of any good recruits in the last 10 years coming to parra and really making a difference other than kevin kingston and he only stayed for 1 season.
          • Jason Taylor, Timana Tahu, Brad Drew and Dean Widders come to mind...

Todd Lowrie copped a fair bit of flack when we recruited him, but regardless of whether he was a world beater or not, he WAS up to NRL standard at our club - unlike Messrs Oake, Latimore, B. Wright and Cordoba (all of whom are local juniors).

To be honest mate, I don't think it would matter what the club did, you'll be complaining either way!
            • Gleen Morrison, Piggy both were superb buy for us.
