Nathan Brown signing confirmed.

The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have today announced the signing of former South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Nathan Brown for the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

Brown joins the Eels after stints at the South Sydney Rabbitohs and West Tigers having played 29 NRL games and achieving representative honours in 2016 through City Origin.

Head Coach Brad Arthur said that the signing of Nathan Brown would bring power and experience to the Eels forward pack in 2017.

“Nathan had a breakthrough year in 2016 with selection in City Origin and was a strong performer in the back half of the season,” Arthur said.

“The good news for us is that Nathan’s best years as an NRL forward are ahead of him and I believe he can provide a strong contribution to the club in 2017 and beyond."

Nathan Brown joins Siosaia Vave as new signings for the Eels in 2017.

  • Boom.
    Where's paul lol.
    • Yes I was wrong again Chief

    • I used to be wrong all the time- got divorced now I'm right all the time
  • Righteo.....

Who was the person who first broke this?

Who had the good oil......I take my hat off to you sir.

Great signing just what we need - a hard nut.

  • Personally, I still have my reservations about Nathan Brown and what he can do at our club but as always, now that he is an Eels player, I'll support him.
Not that I'll necessarily like him, though, but I'm happy to be proven wrong if he performs well for us.

    • Ricky i recon once he's here you'll like him, I've said all along he's a future SOO player, he's got some skills, he's got aggression and attitude, he was very liked in the playing group at souths and many of their fans are 'gutted' he's leaving, he's a very good signing imo

Yes he can be a dope on the park but im trusting in Brad to tend to that.

When you buy somebody like this its always going to come with a few stupid on field antics but that should be hopefully totally outweighed with quality as a footy player.

Look what the aggression of Scott and Manu brings us, aggression and attitude is so important, we've lacked it for decades, Brad knows we need more of it to set the tone.

  • Great addition by BA and obviously the style of player we were lacking.

I recon BA and the team can do great things with him.

Welcome aboard the blue and gold wagon Nathan.
  • Good signing in my opinion, can't wait for next year bring it on
  • Surprised bunnies let him go. Anyone know how much we paid?
