Good to see him training again and will without doubt add some grunt to a soft pack. I think his impact is underestimated-not just for what he does on the field but the extra enthusiasm, attitude and professionalism he takes to training.
On another note I can’t for the life of me work out why mcilwrick isn’t getting a run. Mahoney’s effectiveness has been reduced because he’s buggered. Why not give mcilwrick a run 15 mins either side of half time. Its not like any of our current bench is making an impact when they come on. Mahoney was scoring tries, providing try assists early on and could be very handy if used the right way with mcilwrick

Well I just said in another post I thought it was ridiculous Taka was picked on the bench when that spot could’ve been given to another forward to relieve the workload of our lazy pack. I can’t wait for Nathan to return, the others feed off his energy and aggression. He will be pivotal in our revival.
Arthur please don’t waste a bench position on a centre this week!
I agree but you will to give him a few weeks to be match fit. Dylan Brown is not far off either. We need another Nathan Brown
Alvaro can go straight to reserves when Brown is back
NBrown back will of great benefit, however unless there is a massive improvement in attitude then its all for nothing.
Agree Taka is not a bench option. Either 4 forwards or McIllwrick is the best way forwars
I think the best side we can put together this week should be:
1. Gutherson
2. Sivo
3. Jennings
4. Hoffman
5. Ferguson
6. Brown
7. Moses
8. Paulo
9. Mahoney
10. Moeroa
11. Lane
12. Ma’u
13. Brown

14. McIllwrick
15. Mannah
16. Niukore
17. Gower
I genuinely think that this 17 is really strong and when all fully fit can contend with the top 3. Alvaro needs to be dropped & Hoffman has played well enough for my liking to temporarily take taka’s spot. Moses has recently been struggling to manage the game by himself and really needs Brown to help out. I know we don’t want to rush him back but surely after 2 months out, his back has recovered well enough. Mahoney also has been struggling with playing 80 minutes. He’s trying his guts out but unfortunately his fatigue has hampered his dummy half play & defence around the ruck in the last 20 minutes. While Niukore hasn’t necessarily played bad he hasn’t played well enough to keep Ma’u on the bench imo.
I like the team you picked Trent but I would have Kafusi in the team over Moeroa at the moment. Tepai seems to be left on the ground so often after making a tackle & as soon as the oppersition hooker sees him they get ready to dart out straight into the hole he left. I have seen it too many times last year & it looks like he is doing the same this year. Taka is NOT a centre & sadly I don't even think he is NRL quality anymore. I know you didn't pick him but I think BA will.
Stone will come on for Mahoney.
