Nathan Brown's next step

when will Nathan Brown get a NSW gig. maybe not in the 13, maybe not in the 17 but surley he has shown he is good enough to at least be picked as a 18/19th man for New South Wales, i believe he has the toughness and mongrell for SOO.

  • He is that sort of player that could always be overlooked. As in always on the cusp but never picked type thing.

If he hadn't of been I jured he may have picked up Finucanes spot.

In some ways it's good that he doesn't play origin. Doesn't miss games and keeps his price down

  • If he stays healthy he’ll play origin.

Hes potentially the best lock forward in the game. I watched the replay of the broncos game the other night and every single touch by Brown was pure quality be it late feet at the line, a nice pass before the line or an offload. He has it all. Not to mention his defensive attitude and line speed.

Also I think people underestimate his importance to our side. I think he might be our most important player to be honest.

    • No where near the best 13 in the game, J.trbojveic Cam Murray and Jason Taumalolo are easily the best 13s going around at the moment.

Brown would be on the same level as JFH, finucane and Isaac lui from the roosters. Brown has the ability to evolve and become a J. Trbojveic over the next few years if he throws some playmaking into his game

      • I don't think Murray and Trbojevic are more skillful than Brown. They get through a lot of work, as does Brown, but he has really good footwork and the ability to act as an extra ball player. JT13 is on another planet though.

        • I can definitely agree with all that. He will be great when he’s back up and running at full fitness surely he plays the 80

      • I think that Brown is better than Cam Murray. I think potentially he can be a better player than J Turbo but that is his biggest rival.

I don’t consider Taumalolo a genuine lock. He’s a front rower playing in the 13 Jersey as seems to happen these days . An awesome one at that mind you.

  • If he can stay injury free he would be a good chance next year. He is an origin type player.

  • He is definitely origin material , just needs more time on the field .

  • He’s up there that’s for sure.

I miss his brutality though - we need to bring back the  mongrel.
