No udea. You would hope an announcement will also be made one way or the other this week, particularky as he has to execute his PO before round 10, which is this weekend.
He can exercise his option at any time, but he has to exercise it prior to round 10 for the club to be bound by the clause, but the club has already made it clear they want him to stay, so why would he exercise the option ?
It's actually in his best interest to not exercise the clause because the club will have to pay him more next season than what they would have to under the option.
I'm guessing if we don't hear that he has exercised his option by Saturday night, then he won't actualy officially resign for some time.
Mitch is taking a little longer because I think he wants 4 years and Parra offering 3 (including PO).
I believe this will be settled by round 11 when we play against Manly at Bankwest - could be sooner, but that's my prediction. Mitch is going no where and wants to stay.
"No way you can do that. RLPA would knock it on the head quick smart as they should. That would mean it would be a 38 week competition. It would kill Origin and any rep footy. Killing the extra money NRL earn from those matches. Players would burn…"
"Yes networks will pay what they believe the product is worth, that is like everything. But if take away from the product of what you are producing it is worth less. Like anything. You have a high rating TV show, it is worth more the longer it goes…"
