Wow, the Roosters. Uncle Nick must see something in Nathan that Brad doesn't. Might actually win a premiership there than at the Eels. Wonder how much money will be released from Browns contract? Might see the Mitch Moses contract come to fruition
I think he was on 600K.
By the time he's left we would've paid a little bit of his deal already, so 650k was what he was on, so yeah 580-600 probably left.
We released him only if a club paid full amount, so how can roosters afford him
So we played him in the GF, played him in the trials.. is on good coin but poor management now cost us reed, papalii, opacic etc.. the media will go light on the club because BA has buddies in the media to protect him.

I don't know what trials you watched but NB has had a hamstring issue as hasn't played. But this has been on the cards since mid last year so shouldn't be a surprise
Whatever money left from Brown leaving, Parra needs to find a decent young back up hooker. Clearly Hodgson can't play 80 minutes. His attack is non existent because of fatigue

That isn't official eels or even media announcement so who knows if it true or not. Been speculation like this for months.
If Brown was good enough to play in the grand final it shows the issue wasn't playing ability but personality related which is stupid considering how poor our bench options are.
Everyone knows our bench is shit and Brown can make an impact off the bench and makes good metres, something we lack when Paulo and RCG come off. Watch what he does off the bench for roosters.
I know the club have tried fixing our bench chasing lodge, taupau and most likely others but brown should have been playing until we got someone. Hopefully with the extra cash we now have, we have a plan to get a genuine utility on the bench. With Hopgood going well Matto will strengthen our bench in the forwards as he did last year at times.
The utility will be Asi once he's fit.
Rumours have it NB said to BA that Jake wasn't up to the task of NRLfooty and was put in the dog house for this belief.
