Naming Dedications - How Far Have You Gone?

The other half and I recently acquired a new pet cockatiel. In the past I have named pets after some favourite Eels players - Nifty, Eric, Bert and Petey. I wanted to go with Fui or Semi for the new pet. This was not looked upon favourably. In the end we compromised with "Sparky".I'm sure that we can get some bloggers here who've named a child after a favourite player.How far has your name dedication gone?

    I was a big fan of Jarrod Mckracken and his younger brother Phil. When I got my dog I named it Jarrod Mckracken and when I got my cat, I named my pussy Phil Mckracken.

    I know when i was a kid, i was such a huge thomas the tank fan that i wanted to name my sister percy.

    In regards to footy, i  have always named my fish after players.

    Wife wanted cat- knew it would happen anyway so told her she could have it if I could name it- Jimmy after Jim Dymock

    Dog - wags after Daniel Wagon. Wanted to call it killer after Jamie Lyon- thank god I didn't

    And last but not least - my son Nathan!
