My bet @ $3.15 on the Eels

So I had $200 in my Sportsbet account. I have never really made a big bet before and I think this is a crunch round for us in terms of attitude to make a real statement so I've decided to go big. (Well for me anyway).

Haven't been on here much this week. Are we as per program? Are we a decent chance you think? Anyone else bet?

  • Mate, hate to tell you this but betting.club is offering 5.0 on the Eels this week! (although its a $30 limit at that price).

I'm definitely taking backing up on the boys. I don't see why the odds should be anywhere near that much considering we beat them last game.

    • I always put my punts on too early in the week for these days, mistake.

  • Anyone who has bet on the Eels winning the premiership since 1987 has lost their money. I hope that changes.

    • I've gone so close, twice. I have massive odds on us at 2009 and 2005 - one of them was $50 at 50-1. Both times I was like, I should lay-off, I should lay-off, and let it ride all the way to the end. Stupid!

  • eels 1-12
    $4.25
  • Under 38.5 points. All day!
  • I got $13 from 2 mates (housemates at the time) before the start of the season 2001 and they backed up and gave me $7 half way through the season.

Luckily I layed off on the GF. When we were down by 13+ late in the game I was basically coming out even. The 2 late tries saw me pocket about a grand but still didn't ease the pain of the loss.

I went to that GF and it was tough walking back in through the front door when I got home. The housemates were having a party (they had basically written the money off with how good Parra were travelling which I had been reminding them of incessantly at the completion of each Parra game late in that season and through the finals).

They still have a laugh about it to this day at my expense.

  • Hmm bit of money floating though. I got them at 6-12 win last week at $6.75 but I only bet $10.
I got Gavin Cooper first try scored for $20 at $18 though hehe.
If we field a full strength team I give us a big chance
  • Mate I put a rough bet on 2 weeks ago, for peats first try and parra by 13...it was paying $401 to $1. You just never know lol
  • I've also put $100 on them to beat the cowgirls

"I did modern day as 1998 onwards as I didn't see them play, as some here haven't. Where I believe majority of people here have seen all the modern day players play.
Plus it frees up some spots like we all know who 5/8 will be but now no idea."
