Hi All,
I have not been an active member of this site for a while. However , I still love my eels. With work and family I don't often get time to comment.
In watching the Raiders V Titans , I am wondering about people that move on from the Eels. In particular Ricky Stuart. It seems his Raiders team is travelling ok this year. They are currently putting in a good effort against a team that gave us a bit of a touch up earlier this season.
My question is , how can some one like Ricky Stuart, who in my opinion was woeful at the eels be having success elsewhere? (My definition of success is any team that sits higher on the table than the eels). I do not believe the raiders have better players than the eels.
I know there is a long way to go this season, and I trust that the eels will turn things around and get going. In fact looking at what teams like the Raiders I know we should be doing better.
Any way, I would be interested in your thoughts.
PS. Eels to scrape home tomorrow on the back of Semi finishing off a few backline moves.

The Raiders, based on current form, do have better players than the Eels. Better hookers, better centres, better halves, some better props, better fullback, et al.It is really a no brainer because the Raiders have a history of bringing in young local players who turn out to be very good 1st graders. The big worry for the Raiders is that Stuart will have one of his brain explosions and change his halves, hooker and fullback. What this space!
We got to let go of seffa and start showing we got pride in our colurs
Yeah , agree on Seffa . I always get nervous when he comes on.
Sorry , I disagree. I think if a coach is bad at Parra and moves on to be better elsewhere then it probably is not the coach. We are getting a history of coaches that do better after leaving Parra. Even SK is doing better with the NZ team. I think you need to point the finger at everyone, including the players.
Our problem has never been the coach. It is the voting members who have been demanding instant success ever since Brian Smith got the arse.
Maybe. I don't remember Wayne Bennett playing for the Broncos either. Look at how he is going. I think Sterlo would be the Eels coach if he wanted to. Either he doubts his ability to coach or he knows better to get involved.
