Joel was actually going pretty good last year. His defence has improved immeasurably but he was pretty damn good attacking wise last year as well. And Robson has improved a lot - he had nothing when he came into grade and he''s not a pretty consistent performer.
The world cup did him the world of good, but i think the biggest difference is that he has realised that he has the ability to pretty much beat sides by himself. Today the Sharkies were trying their damn hardest to keep the ball away from Hayne, so what does Hayne do? He goes to dummy-half gets the ball and runs over the top of them. He is just playing unbelievably week in week out,, the confidence is brimming out of him (i remember matty johns saying before the start of the 2008 season, that he thought Hayne would be the best player in the game, well i think he's pretty darn close right now
Robson has done a decent job as our backup half and deserves the duty again for next season.
In regards to Reddy, i must admit i was one of the doubters, i just didnt see anything over the last few seasons to indicate to me that Reddy would be a consistent 1st grade player. (Actually me and my best mate use to have a joke when Grothe and Reddy were on opposite wings, we would refer to them as the mediocre son's of former greats). But hasn't Reddy proved me wrong, he is truly now a total footballer, defensivley outstanding, and he has developed into a quality finisher aswell.
I think Reddy is easily our most improved. Especially from 2 years ago where he was not good defensively in the centres. Now he would easily be the first centre picked. He has an amazing ability to find the tryline, just as good as Inu was in 07.
Hayne has improved from his early season form, where his attitude was woeful. I still think it is funny that he now plays as if he is the position that he didn't want to play in then... that is 5/8. I'm still undecided if he has exceeded his 07 form or has only just got back there.
Even Hindy has improved of late. He will never be as dynamic as he once was, but you wouldn't trade him for any other forward in the game.
