Wests Tigers star Mitchell Moses reportedly signed a lucrative four-year deal with the Roosters over summer – only to backflip on the deal days later.
Rugby League Week ’s The Mole revealed in Thursday’s edition of the magazine that the Tigers No.6 agreed to terms with the Chooks and put pen to paper.
Moses then contracted a severe case of cold feet and changed his mind, utilising the NRL’s 10-day cooling off period to rip up the contract.
According to the Mole, Roosters officials are fuming over Moses’ about-face but have not given up all hope of luring the five-eighth to Bondi next year.
The 22-year will be one of the most sought-after players in the game when he comes off contract at the end of 2017.
Should we make a play for him?
Algae has had, what a handful of games in first grade. Pass on him thanks! There is absolutely no chance on Ash Taylor so don't even waste your time.
Gus Gould mistakenly tweeted that nick politis said they had their man in Moses for 300k for the first year until he backflipped at the last minute.
Andrew johns - the roosters halves coach - has had a hard on for Moses for the last 12 months. You can hear it in his commentary.
I haven't heard anything about Moses signing again this year.
