  • The only place I have seen this is on Sporting News website

Wests Tigers star Mitchell Moses reportedly signed a lucrative four-year deal with the Roosters over summer – only to backflip on the deal days later.

Rugby League Week ’s The Mole revealed in Thursday’s edition of the magazine that the Tigers No.6 agreed to terms with the Chooks and put pen to paper.

Moses then contracted a severe case of cold feet and changed his mind, utilising the NRL’s 10-day cooling off period to rip up the contract.

According to the Mole, Roosters officials are fuming over Moses’ about-face but have not given up all hope of luring the five-eighth to Bondi next year.

The 22-year will be one of the most sought-after players in the game when he comes off contract at the end of 2017.

Should we make a play for him?

    • Not a fan of this young MONEY Moses. Over rated, did nothing in his All Stars appearance. In fact his opponent Ash Taylor was ten times better. I'd go for either of the two young Titans halves, Ash Taylor or Kane Elgey before MONEY Moses.
    • That is somewhat true. Speaking on the titans duo, I don't see them being pushed out. It seems more likely Roberts will be pushed out or dropped.
    • Hahaha. Algae before Moses?? You kill me. By the way I did mean algae it's not an iPhone correction. Moses truly came of age last year even with the plodders he had around him. The guy is an exceptional player. I say buy him in a heartbeat. If this kid has Norman beside him helping to guide his play with the likes of Jennings and French running off him the sky would be the limit for parramatta.
Algae has had, what a handful of games in first grade. Pass on him thanks! There is absolutely no chance on Ash Taylor so don't even waste your time.
  • This happened last year when Moses and brooks were both off contract but each had 500k options in their favour.
Gus Gould mistakenly tweeted that nick politis said they had their man in Moses for 300k for the first year until he backflipped at the last minute.
Andrew johns - the roosters halves coach - has had a hard on for Moses for the last 12 months. You can hear it in his commentary.

I haven't heard anything about Moses signing again this year.
  • Apparently he signed a 4yr deal but has backflip and Roosters are fuming!! lol
  • He originally wanted to be an Eel and was in our system. Parra should definitely be thinking about his services.
    • He will be to expensive I think
    • Salary cap rising, BA not paying overs and if someone really wants to play for parra then it will be on Parras terms
  • I don't want him, he the most frustrating player to watch. Throws away chance after chance. I would hate to support the tigers. He'll give you one good game in every 5.
