Moses or Suali’

With all these contract negotiations still ongoing I would be interested in people's thoughts on whether you would be happy for Moses to leave the eels if it meant we could sign Suali'. My answer is a big yes. Move Gutho to 6, Dylan to 7 and Suali at fullback. Thoughts?

    • It will never happen. Uncle Nick has Sualii wrapped around his finger. Parra could never come close to what he will get at the Roosters, that includes media work and post footy career opportunities

  • I think Moses is the better choice, I think it's duration more then money holding things up. In 25 yes Gutho accepts a 300k pay cut as a back up 1 or 14.

    • Gutho's only position is fullback. He would be total rubbish at 6

      • Disagree as a back up Gutho could fill in at 9,6, 3/4 or 1. Not saying his the best in those positions but a reliable back up.

  • 100% Moses.

If Moses decides to go then yes go for Suaalii but if it's our choice then definitely Moses.

Over the next 3 years we have a far better chance of winning with Moses in the halves than we do with Gutho there.

    • There is no choice Sneaky, you may find that Moses could free up a lot of money but you will not get Sualli if you think he will come for the money. Uncle Nick loves the kid!

Finally whilst I think Guth could play as a 6, there is no way Dyllan is ready for 7 as a playmaker, he is a running 6 and will become a playmaker but he is a few seasons away from it yet. We haven't the time to rebuild a new spine. So that means Guth would be 7 or 9 and by this time next year, you may guess who the 7 will be!

        • Have another go, you will need to do better than that......

      • If Hughes and Hynes can play 7, Dylan Brown certainly can.

        • So Pou, do you know something?

          • Mate, they call me the five-eighth, because I know five-eighths of fuck all.
