The Title pretty much sums it up... I would personally like to see Gutho at 6 and Moses at 7. I'm not a huge fan of Norman at all, he seems too immature e.g. In interviews he can seem very childish, especially for someone who's been playing first grade for so long and is a senior member of the team (he was even was billed as "the next Lockyer" early in his career"..

We saw last week when Moses went off the field for 25 min last week (HIA & Sin Bin), Norman had the chance to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and show his leadership, but what happened? We let a good lead slip... My personal preference would be let him go and talk to other clubs and let him go and we use his $$ to get a player we really need e.g. a good Prop or Hooker... I'm sure Bennett would love to have him back up there at Brisbane, maybe a straight swap for a good forward!

So who would u prefer as our halves partnership, Moses/Norman OR Moses/Gutherson...

  • Hell, we could even put Hayne at 6 with Moses and then Gutho at 1

  • Moses/Gutherson ...and I predict it will happen by mid season - once hayne is fully fit for fullback.

BTW about Norman, i'd like to see Scott take him to the back of the sheds and slap him around a few times - wipe that stupid grin off his face.

  • It would be the same issue as last year with Norman/Gutho - it forces the playmaker (in this cases Moses) to do all the organisation, setting up our plays & about 80% of kicks in play. It's too much. Gutho's strength is his running and support play. We won 80% of games after Moses joined last year, most of those with Norman, and they'd never played together. This is a good sign and they will only get better. This is the first time in a long time we have carried over the same halves from one season to the next with no disruptions. We had issues with Sandow, Foran then last year Gutho had to fill in. One game is nowhere near enough to make any judgement, ESPECIALLY after they took us from "potential top 8" last year to a top 4 position in the finals. It's hard to argue they haven't got the right to a full season before we make any calls. Norman is off contract I believe so the incentive is there for him.
  • I like Moses and Gutho. The more ball these two get the better our chances.

Thought Moses was by far our best player last week.

The only thing we would lose is Norman's kicking game.

Although i still wouldn't blame Norman last week for the loss, the game was clearly lost from the lack of our impact from the bench forwards.

  • Jesus Christ mate, I didnt say I WANT to  put Hayne at 6, I said u COULD even put him at 6 (as an option other than Norman),  u must be one of the people that think "Normz has only been here 5 years, give him time, he'll come good one of these days!"

  • Moses - Smith .  Then Guth at FB when he returns and French on the wing . Whack Norman on EBay and buy some decent  grunt up front with his overpriced salary .

    • Oh shit, I didnt even think of Smith, he guided us around at 7 in the trial v Knights for a good part of that match!

  • I'm willing to give Norman until round 5 to fire if he don't will drop him to wenty and Have Gutho and Moses hayne to fullback

    • He's had 5 + years to fire!

"Same, Kurupt. Whatever the outcome, Jim, Beach, Ryles and the club stood united and stood their ground when they were meant to roll over for the Storm and PLV, discreetly. Moses SC has also been brilliant."
