  • Awesome news. Inu and Mortimer playing is big for us!
  • Mortimer's father Peter last night said he was still travelling from Orange to watch the game. "Daniel rang me after training and said he got through the session," he said.

"He's still got to make a call and I just told him, 'Do whatever your heart says'."

  • Parramatta coach Daniel Anderson has confirmed both will start the match, with veteran forward Nathan Hindmarsh saying both trained well on Thursday.

“Morts’ and Krisnan got through the whole session, so it’s a given now that they’re playing,” Hindmarsh told Fairfax.

“We had our serious heads on today, it being our last session, but those guys couldn’t help but be excited about proving their fitness. It’s great news for everyone.

“Morts did a lot of running with the side in the ball-work session, and a lot of kicking and he wasn’t uncomfortable. And Krisnan was running really well.

"The chances of him being our 6 next year are very low, if he was a serious consideration he would be playing 6 now with dylan at centre. I'll be very surprised if he is our starting 6 next season unless he gets a lot more time there this season. "

"I think Joash is a good player, but from what I've seen only at fullback or on the wing. Those positions we've got pretty well covered, so I guess he's a great back up option. I'd like to see him in 1st grade, but I dont know how he fits in?"
