  I can't see Mortimer working at fullback, not now, and probably not ever.
  
  He doesn't have a great deal of speed, at least not in the Hayne, Jennings, Uate category.
  
  Not something I'd really want to see.
  It's either five-eighth or hooker for Morts.

  It wouldn't work in defence imho, I think it would work in Attack though, cause he can take the line on or he can pass the ball to Tahu or cut it out to burt or on the other side to Reddy and Grothe, but then again Hayne can do that aswell

  Not if he doesn't want to get his head ripped off. He's slow (relative to Burt or Hayne) and he can't jump. He's a developing half and needs more time there.

  Matthew, good you're thinking outside the box, although, I reckon Mortimer is suited to 5/8 (or hooker maybe) and that's about it.
