More reasons yo laugh at the loser runts

https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/teams/bulldogs/the-mail-the-real-reason-behind-the-bulldogs-diabolic-2017-nrl-season/news-story/411ffe41a997c2553f7393a6d1173f1dBulldogs captain Graham, the heart and soul of Belmore for the past six seasons, is on the open market because the club chose to back-end his contract. Graham is on around $1 million for next season. The Morris brothers aren’t on that much but their deals are also back-ended and upwards of $700,000 per season. Mbye is on close to $800,000 while Eastwood is the doozy of the lot.The one-time Kiwi international is also on around the $800,000 mark next season. The Bulldogs have been busy telephoning rival clubs with the ‘For Sale’ sign well and truly in position at Belmore.Trouble is, there aren’t really any takers. The Dogs risk being screwed to the wall because rival clubs are only going to be interested at the right price — for them. And given the players are still contracted, meaning technically they don’t have to go anywhere, the whole scenario is a complete mess.If any of this sounds familiar, simply rewind to the Manly Sea Eagles when Des Hasler won the second of his two NRL titles in 2011 and then walked out the door at Narrabeen. Not the full article posted but the main laughing points

  • DESaster!!!!!
  • I reckon there was supposed to be another set of books, but that got kyboshed. Either that or they failed year 2 maths. I'd say Dessie is gone.

  • Can't see Woods going to the dogs after this mess has emerged , and how funny would it be for Foran to be without a club as well after getting rid of Reynolds already.somebody call the RSPCA this is going to get cruel.
    • Foran goes to Eels they get done gor cap cheating
Foran goes to Warriors they have the nz test spine and still shit
Foran signs with Dogs and this happens

      Sering a pattern forming here.
  • Channel 9 wrote a nice fluff piece making excuses for Des.
"He was originally told $13.5 million so was shocked (gasp) when the nrl said $9m back in April.
    Boo hoo Des!!!
Back ended all those deals don't cry now. You thought you had a Premiership window so you loaded up and it's back fired spectacularly. I wouldn't touch a single one of those players they're shopping around. Not even for cheap. They're just not good enough.
We'll take Klemmer but not for overs. Otherwise good luck with it.
  • Well Raelene famously said it herself about their cap "we have a magic man with numbers" to thank for it...guess it's back to Red Faces for him then?
  • What was I thinking ? Or thinking with?
  • This is so pleasing. What a contrast this year has been to last year for an Eels fan. Just beautiful! Lol

  • I'd love to get Graham for 300-400.000. The Dogs can pick up the rest of the bill for next year and 600-700K after that.

He'd make us a even grittier team. He's carries great leadership skills and can still do the job for 2-3 years.

We are an inexperienced team and he would be so valuable for our younger guys.

    • Id take Klemmer but that's about it.

In our well-justified praise of Ryley Smith, there is a big thing being missed: his ability to read the game and footy IQ.
He is a couple of plays ahead and anticipating every move both in defence, primarily at present, but also in setting up the…
