MITCHELL Moses won’t be the only big name recruit to join the Eels next year with Roosters prop Kane Evans set to sign a three-year deal with the club.
Evans, 25, will add some more size to an already impressive Parramatta forward pack next year. He made his return from injury on Friday night.
While Evans will see out the season at the Roosters, Moses could end up at Parramatta by the time Luke Brooks returns from a hamstring injury in about a month’s time. His future teammates were tight-lipped about Moses joining the club.
“If and when it happens I’ll talk a bit about it more then,” co-skipper Beau Scott said on Thursday. “Not much to say to tell you the truth. He is a handy player. There is no point speculating.”
Centre Brad Takairangi added: “We haven’t been told anything. I wouldn’t have a clue.”
Moses arrival may be a mystery to the Eels players, one player who is not is Kieran Foran. Foran will line-up against his former side for the first time on Sunday.
“It will be a good challenge for us,” Scott said. “I was happy to see him back on the pitch. He is a natural footballer. He is great to watch. Obviously he will be one of the key men for us to shut down.
“He is meant to play the game. Not ideal timing for us.”
