These disturbing images have been given to David Gallop (no pun intended) and I have been asked to not reveal the identity of many of the players involved until the NRL has had time to complete their investigation. The images show the masturbation of pigs, horses, cows and even fish and emus.
" No Animal it seems is spared on Mad Monday but this has to stop" said Gallop when I interviewed him this week.
"Alcohol cannot be used as an excuse and I will be handing our findings on to the RSPCA and other appropriate authorities in due course. The NRL will not tolerate cruelty towards animals in any way shape or form. The only exception to this will be a continuance to allow Canterbury to be such pathetic representatives of Bulldogs in general. I know Bulldogs don't deserve to be abused in such a manner but we are concentrating on getting their supporters to respect human beings first and we will try to progress from there.
What Joel has done is clearly very distasteful for all (with the exception of the Labrador perhaps) but these latest images are far more disturbing in my opinion. How could anyone do that to a horse? " Gallop said.
