Leeton (where I live) held a show and shine today and I was wearing my Parra Jersey! a bloke that had his own stand said to me "your game wearing that with the year Eels have had", I replied I'll wear it with pride Win or Lose Hail or Rain, and we started talking and he told me he works with Justin Poores younger brother and then he told me that Poore is off to the Sharkies, i asked how concrete it is he said I've got no reason to lie to ya, I don't know if anyone has heard more lately, my understanding is that the rumor went pretty quiet.
There was another bloke with him and he was telling me he played for Parra but never made it to 1st grade cause he had a glass jaw and broke it like 5 times, then had kids and said they came 1st, he mentioned playing with Tim and Benny Smith and Jamie Lyon. He told me his younger brother did make it but only played 16 games for Penriff as a replacement for Girds when he was injured.
Iv'e forgotten what their names were but I ended up having a good long chat to them
just thought I'd share anyway.

The rumour that Poore wanted out has been around, but I'd doubt it will come into fruition.
Ricky, I know you and others have personally spoken with JP and he has assured you he wants to stay, however, players - unless they are exceedingly stupid (think Bryce Gibbs or Anthony Watmough) - would never reveal their movements or contract details to a fan whom they could reasonably expect to relay any info on public forums such as this.
To be honest, I'd be surprised if many players even tell members of their family (outside their immediate family) too many details of negotiations with other clubs re potential moves. Take Will Hopoate for example; neither his club nor teammates knew of his move to Parra until the deal was done and announced.
So I think it's reasonable to not make definitive statements such as "JP is not going anywhere", or "SBW is not coming to the Eels, period" as you will eventually have egg on your face!
