RLW Mole has just posted on Twitter that he has been 'told on the quiet' that the Tigers will today announce the signings of Blake Austin and Cory Paterson.....
Perhaps Matt Prior is looking more likely for Parra?

Knew Paterson wouldn't come to us but the Tigers are still screwed next year. No Benji
I actually thought Paterson could be ok for us. But really he and Prior are about on par and Prior might even be better value, so hopefully we might be able to pick him up instead.
I'd definitely take Prior over Paterson, as a better fit for the squad.
I'd rate Paterson as more of a confidence player, solid with the occasional bit of flash. A poor man's Mateo. Prior is a dependable, disciplined workman. A poor man's Lewis or Hoffman.
With the rookies and new players we'll have in the squad, and the guaranteed slumps in form, I'd rather have the disciplined player.
I thought the Patterson deal was dead to us and we have a Austin in Kelly so, meh.

I wasn't saying it was a waste of a blog, i like hearing what other teams are doing in terms of recruitment. I just meant good on them i don't really care. As True eel pointed out Prior and Patterson are very similar and we don't need both.
Good calls Tom Mus. I tend to agree. Prior has been a bit down in form this year but is youngish still, has good size and is a workman like you say.
