I am usually too shy to post a blog of my own, but after reading some of the content over the last few days, I feel that something needs to be said.
I think I am a fairly generous and lenient sort of moderator. Only once have I ever deleted a post and it was HUGELY inappropriate. I generally let things go and am all for a bit of healthy debate. Even if it gets a bit heated, I am very reluctant to ever delete anything.
However, some of the rubbish that has been posted over the past few days has simply not been on. While everyone has the right to voice an opinion, there is a difference between free speech and common decency and over the past few days it has been blurred.
As Parramatta fans, we all want our team to be successful and to do their best. We all have different ways in which we think the club should go about achieving its best. That is totally fine, but please, think before you post! It actually really disappoints me and makes me sad when I read some of the things that have been said! I don't want chills down my spine when coming to my very favourite message board!
Everyone just relax, respect your fellow posters and enjoy the last bit of the off season. We have a great season coming up and hopefully one where we can enjoy some heated debate.
Thanks!
- Moderater Mary :-)
P.S. And please... let's all be tolerant of fans from other clubs. Especially when they are polite, respectful and really add something to the board.

You will turn many more tolerant, articulate, thoughtful & effective people away from this site, that contribute within the agreed guidelines then you will with people who over generalise, assume & are disrespectful.
Perhaps Phil if we cannot clean this up, all existing & any future members should sign a site constitution document, where if lines are blurred, posts or blogs are deleted & for continual offenders, membership revoked.
I come onto this site as an active fan that wants to be informed & wants to positively contribute towards other people’s blogs. I have not come on the Parra fan site to read the crap that has been posted over the last few days.
C U All at the game
Like Mary I've only ever deleted a couple posts and thats because these days everyone seems to be way better behaved. Keep it up, I like the arguments between fans, it keeps it interesting, just keep it civil is all.
From pretty humble beginnings its turning into a pretty good community.
Thanks for making a bit of a stand, i hope people listen.
Everyone needs to take a deep breath, relax and think before they post stuff. I enjoy a good debate like the rest of us do but there is no need for name-calling or slurs. This just ruins the debate and causes bad feelings between members...
Dont post as often as I should but always come on to read the posts and catch up on the news about the team, (great job by everyone involved by the way) however some of the recent posts have left me shaking my head in disbelief. This is our team we are talking about and I have followed them for well over 50 years and to this point haven't heard as much drivel as I have in the past few weeks. Chill people and enjoy the ride, I followed them in the 50's , 60's and 70's when there was little to cheer about but they always enjoyed my full support and will do so this year no matter what the outcome.
Mary keep up the good work, love reading your sensible posts
