  • Dont like kent

But hes spot on here... the clubs in denial and deluded

Watching the matty johns show tonight. Nathan brown showed a no bullshit attitude towards his teams performances this year and it was a far cry from the "effort was there" attitude of brad arthur
  • Thanks Jeff, exactly my thoughts on Corey and Moses, they are like oil and water, like 2 magnets pushing against each ither, Corey has to go ASAP and Moses may not even work out long term, it remains to be seen.

    • I actually rather Norman

  • Need football department manager ASAP
  • Excellent interview . As they said give me a job that pays 300k and not have pressure and responsibility to perform .

I am starting to really think the brad Arthur era is cooked . But financially it will cost 1m to pay him out because he will clearly not walk himself. Having said that who do you get ? Who is the right type of coach for the club . Hasler , no , Maguire no , Toovey no .

Maybe a Justin Holbrook from super league or walker from Ipswich ? The issue remains the cattle No way out except stripping back to bare guts and bone and defining a team you want to be and trying to best match them to what is out there available.
    • I agree Paul, the point about the 300k can't be understated. And many of the players are actually on a lot more than 300k. Go out into the workforce and see what people who earn 700k are doing. They are managing 50 or 100 or many more people and have huge responsibilities and expectations.

    • I feel that once again Parra have employed very average trainers. It is up to the coach to recognise this problem. First step is to get some decent trainers.

The coach is not able to instil any discipline or culture into the team and seems to make very bad strategic mistakes in player retention.

Who is the player scout for Parra? He needs to be replaced if he has had much to do with the current roster.

Finally from one of my previous blogs. Parra needs a player or group of players to be the alpha and bang a few heads together . There has to be a tough alpha who will lead the team at training and give the players the real facts of life as a foot ball player.

The team has no spiritual leader, someone the players will die for. Its certainly not the coach or Mannah. So the team is lacking discipline and leadership. They are digging in deep for each other.

The team is in disarray and is going to stay that way for some time, sorry to say.

The club needs a big clean out and it is going to take probably another 3 years to achieve the desired results of the clean out because of the financial costs of moving players on and contracting new players.

I have to ask , why did it go south so quick. Does anyone know

  • If we got a new coach I'd go for Geoff Toovey I think we need someone who's not related to the club
    • Good idea & BA worked with him at manly , could work well together?
    • Yeah another nothing coach, good idea.
