The Parramatta Eels are saddened to hear of the recent passing of former Eels player Mitchell Wallace, player number 35.

Mitchell played first grade for the Blue and Gold between 1949 and 1952 after previously playing for Balmain, including being part of their 1948 grand final team.

During his time with the Eels, Mitchell gained a strong reputation as a prolific winger scoring 57 tries during his 66 games with the Club.

The Club would like to pass on its deepest condolences to Mitchell’s family and as a mark of respect the team will wear black armbands in tonight’s Round 25 Parramatta Eels v St. George Illawarra Dragons game.
