THE Parramatta Eels have landed another major signing coup with star halfback Mitchell Moses set to sign a $2.5 million, three-year deal.

The news comes on the back of coach Brad Arthur and captain Clint Gutherson also committing to the blue and golds.

Moses has enjoyed a return to form this season on the back of an internal club review last year which delivered some blunt home truths.

The Eels currently have around $500,000 to spend prior to June 30 and are searching the open market for players.

The Moses new three-year contract is expected to be made official by the Eels in the coming days.

  • Before people start complaining about the price. Realise that NRL halfbacks that are in the NRL team week in week out are valued out about 800-850k. The figure suggests Moses will be on about 830k a year. The rep quality/premiership winning halves are the ones 1 million dollars +.

We’ve got a good deal with us here.

    • Agreed and with Dylan Brown and Salmon we have a good bunch of halves to work with and build an empire out of. Now and for starters, we also need JWH & Lodge.

      • I think we will lock D Brown up when the times right and we know he’s a long term prospect; he’s only played the 3 games remember. It’ll take time.

JWH won’t come here. Think we are a huge chance of landing Lodge tho.

        • Our club needs to do the incredible and start pulling things off like scoring JWH & Lodge. A great swansong it will be for uninjured JWH holding up the Eels 2020 premiership. We need a few full on brutes up front to lead the way and give Dylan Brown, Mitchell Moses & co the time and space to dismantle defences. It's imperative that we are at worst a top 4 side next season.

    • Your cracking jokes if you think this is a good deal.

      • I’ll ask you this, how many halfbacks in the NRL are on less then what Moses will be on. 800k is great value.

        • I don't care what other halfbacks are on, it's Moses we are talking about and he's certainly not worth $800k a season.

          • It’s the position he plays champ. No chief play maker in the NRL is on less then that a year.

            • So that makes it good business by the club because we now have the lowest paid halfback in the competition?

How about you tell me what good qualities Moses brings to the Parramatta Eels ? Go!

              • Ahhh John....who should we pick instead?
